Article Abstract:

The Netherlands Ministry of Defense (MoD) has rejected a proposal by the Netherlands Naval Shipbuilding Cluster (NMC) comprising the Royal Schelde Group, Thales Nederland and Imtech Marine & Offshore to order a helicopter carrier and four long-range patrol ships for the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN). The proposal was made in an attempt to reverse the MoD's decision not to order any new surface warships between 2004 and 2014.
