Emerging hollow-charge protection furthers creation of a new class of armored truck

Article Abstract:

American Truck Company (ATC) and Israel Military Industries Wildcat armored personnel carrier (APC), the hollow charge-protected truck transport was on display at the AUSA exhibition in Washington D.C. in October 2005. Its rigid backbone tube chassis uses Tatra 4x4 running gear with 16R20 tires and is powered by an integrated powerpack combining a Cummins ISL310 310hp diesel engine with an Allison Model 3066P transmission.

Reva 4x4 transitions from service to sales

Article Abstract:

The Reva 4x4 mine-protected vehicle had its operational baptism long before its international sales debut and the current version Reva Mk II with seating for ten personnel. Initially constructed in Iraq, it is now manufactured at Natal with eight gun ports and two turrets for machine guns and is rated very high on protecting occupants from mines, bullets and even shaped-charge warheads.

Details regarding the Slovakian Aligator 4x4 armored amphibious patrol vehicle, which is operated, by the Slovak army and police is discussed. The Slovak Army and police are operating nine examples of Aligator 4x4 patrol vehicle in two different versions, and a third variant is readied for peace support operations with Slovak detachments overseas.
