Europe seeks secure energy supply as Russia turns up heat

Article Abstract:

The European Union (EU) is worried about maintaining consistent, reliable energy supply, as it is increasingly relying on external sources for gas. The 24 October 2006 agreement of revised gas price between Ukraine and Russia have dispelled the immediate fears, but the infrastructural deficiencies and a lack of co-ordination are still threatening the European supplies.

North Africa's radical diaspora in Europe shift focus to Iraq war

Article Abstract:

The willingness and the increasing interconnectivity shown by Algerians, Tunisians, Moroccans and other elements of North African diaspora in Europe, to co-operate in support of jihad, is reported. This has resulted in a decrease in the percentage of the number of people traveling to Iraq from Europe.

Europe struggles to deal with human trafficking implications

The illegal immigration into the European Union continues, bringing about a strained political climate. The illegal immigrants normally come from developing countries and may enter the EU through individual effort of by human trafficking by organized crime organizations.
