Munk receives NLUS Michelson Award; "Founding Great" of modern oceanography

The Navy League of the US honored Dr. Walter Munk's 60-year career in military oceanography. Munk heads the Green Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
