Kearfott Guidance and Navigation Corp is a manufacturer of pointing, guidance, fire control and navigation systems for space, sea, air and land applications. The company is the maker of the Dual Axis Head Assembly used to stabilize the line of sight of the fire control system on the Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle of the US Marines and the M1A2 SEP main battle tank. Kearfott also supplies the GPS systems used on unmanned aerial vehicles.

Sampson gets a new house

Article Abstract:

BAe Systems has designed the Sampson multi-function active-phased radar with an almost-spherical housing with the two original arrays installed internally. The new design is intended for the installation of the Sampson on the Royal Navy's new Type 45 destroyers. It is characterized by lower wind resistance and is processed using a simplified manufacturing procedure.
