Information management from the bottom

Article Abstract:

A top-down information management (IM) strategy would reduce the man-hours and also help the Marines in the performance of their jobs, in the use of online resources and in transitioning from the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps should combine all the available online resources into one integrated conglomerate, perhaps under Marine Online (MOL) to avoid confusions and these resources reduces redundancy and increase accuracy across the spectrum of Information Technology (IT)/IM issues.

My view: Comments from the cheap seats

Article Abstract:

A Marine with service in both active duty and in the Reserves discusses the differences in promotion processes in both the communities that leave huge gaps in official ranks in the units. It is suggested that specific rules should be set for the conduct of Presidential recalls, mobilizations and activations, and also to make active duty compulsory for Marine Reserve Units so that every Marine gets active experience and Reserve experience.
