Interagency operations: The Marine specialty of this century

Article Abstract:

The development of the first joint interagency coordination group (JIACG) created by the US Central Command is traced. The US Marine Corps is recommended to take the lead in developing the doctrine necessary to reduce the likelihood of future terrorist attacks with the help of effective interagency coordination.

Reconsidering reserve mobilization

Article Abstract:

Careful consideration and evaluation is required for prudent utilization of the Reserve. Issues are discussed concerning the 'total force' concept and the role Reserve forces mobilization will have to play in defeating terrorism.
