JSF decision time

Article Abstract:

Boeing and Lockheed Martin completed the Concept Demonstration Phase (CDP) of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) programme between late June and early July 2001 by successfully performing the final test flights of their respective Concept Demonstrator Aircraft (CDA), the X-32 and X-35 in the STOVL configuration. US authorities have evaluated the results of the CDP and a decision would be announced by mid/late-October that would permanently change the global fighter aircraft industry.
