Lessons learned: reviewing the Korean War

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the military strategies used during the Korean War, 1950-53, 50 years after the fact, is provided. The US was not ready to actually engage in the war, as the decision to enter the war signalled a change in US perception about global conflict. Key strategies and battles comprise the analysis.

Task Force Kingston

Article Abstract:

Second Lieutenant Robert C. Kingston achieved one of the most outstanding feats of the Korean War by leading a task force to the Yalu River in 1950, prior to the Chinese intervention. Details of the mission are discussed.

Three Army officers tell of their experience in the Korean War. The described action took place in late Novemer, 1950, at a time when Chinese troops were entering the war.
