Lest we forget: Uncommon valor and common graves

Article Abstract:

A Marine's, Sgt. James C. McCauley's combat experiences during the Iwo Jima D-day, which happened on 19 February 1945, are described. The Navy, Army Air Corps and Marine Corps veterans of the six-week battle during the World War II living in Gallatin, Madison and Park Counties, MT narrate their experiences that are a legacy to every warrior and civilian.

A 51-yeard-old son describes the influence of the Marine Corps on his father, Sgt Nick Infante, 75, whose active duty was from 1946-49. He discusses the drill sergeant's commitment to the Marine Corps, his life with his family and friends after leaving Marine Corps and his commitment to the nation and social community.

Force protection - 1941

Article Abstract:

Being always on alert is very essential for the military forces even today as it was in 1941. The incidents like Pearl Harbor and terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 are some of the examples that show that to be surprised is the cardinal military sin, which might endanger the entire nation.
