Naval aviation programs update
Article Abstract:
The status of major naval aviation and aviaton systems programs are presented. These programs include the MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft; the Marine Corp's upgrade program for its AH-1 Super Cobra and UH-1N Iroquois helicopters; the acquisition of 234 T-45 Goshwak carrier-capable training aircraft from Boeing Co; the KC-130J Hercules aerial refueler/transport aircraft being built by Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems for the Marine Corps; the US Navy's upgrade program for its fleet of P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft; Sikorsky's CH-60S Knighthawk multirole helicopter.
