Netherlands aerospace industry secures continued support from government

Article Abstract:

Netherlands' Economic Affairs Minister announced a Eur100 million continued support for a period of four years to the Netherlands aerospace industry. The support to be provided from 2006-2010 would include Eur25 million to sustain and to expand the industry's existing knowledge base, and Eur70 million to support the risk-sharing participation of Dutch industries in International aerospace programmes.

Netherlands studies air-defense munitions

Article Abstract:

TNO Defense, Security and Safety (DELFT) has performed a study into the effectiveness of existing air-defense munitions against incoming mortar rounds. The Netherlands Defense Material Organization (DMO) in support of the Netherlands-led multinational Defense Against Mortar Attacks (DAMA) project commissioned the study known as munitions alternatives against incoming explosives (MAGIE).

Netherlands and Norway hope Aladin will grant wish for improved ISR

Article Abstract:

The Netherlands and Norwegian forces are gaining operational experience with Aladin mini unmanned aerial vehicles (MUAVs) supplied by EMT (Penzberg, Germany). The Netherlands has acquired 10 Aladin air vehicles and 5 laptop-based ground terminals in order to meet an urgent operational requirement for tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability in Afghanistan.
