One year RUAG Aerospace in Germany

Article Abstract:

The Swiss technology and aerospace group, RUAG bought the business units Airbus Components Production and Aircraft Maintenance and Support from the insolvent Fairchild Dornier Company, and started RUAG Aerospace Germany at Oberpfaffenhofen in 2003. The business activities of RUAG Aerospace Services GmbH, which provides trend-setting services in aviation, and RUAG Aerospace Structures GmbH, which are known for its customer-oriented design, in Germany are discussed.

Korea's aerospace industry: update & way forward

The latest developments of the Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAL) in major defense-related projects such as the Korean Fighter Programme (KFP), the Korean Trainer Development Programme (KT (X)-1), T-50 Golden Eagle, F-X and KMH are discussed. The take-over bid of Korean Air (KAL) and its impact on the future of the Korean defense and aerospace industry is analyzed.
