Pakistan Air Force launches modernization programs

Article Abstract:

Pakistan has announced a number of programs for the modernization of its Air Force and these are aimed at providing an effective Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system as well as state-of-the-art combat aircraft to its frontline fighter units. Pakistan plans to acquire about 250 new fighters including F-16s from USA, FC-1s from China and J-10s from the new Chinese Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group (CAC).

Air-to-Air Missiles - a global review: Some considerations about the AAM market

Air-to-air missiles (AAMs) are gaining in importance in the war theatre of the 2000s as even planes deployed for attack roles are required to carry enough of them to provide combat persistence and also because of their use with older aircraft as a cost-effective alternate to buying new combat aircraft. A global review of AAM market is presented.
