RNLA banks on support of enhanced TITAAN

Article Abstract:

The Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) has introduced new, significantly enhanced versions of its command support systems theatre-independent tactical army-air force network (TITAAN), integrated staff information system (ISIS) and tactical messaging system (TMS), and a new fire-support application known as AFSIS Bn (artillery fire support information system-battalion). TITAAN, ISIS, TMS and AFSIS are all developed by the Command & Control Support Centre (C2SC), the Dutch battlefield digitization center located at Ede near Amhem.

US government certifies Cluster 2 JTRS

Article Abstract:

Thales Communications Inc. (TCI) on January 5, 2006 announced that the US government has finally given formal Software Communications Architecture (SCA) certification to its Cluster 2 Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Enhanced Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR) or JEM after completing the essential JTRS Technology Laboratory SCA verification assessment and operational trials in 2005. Thales can start full-rate production that was initially slated to begin in the first quarter of 2005.

Austral targets rapid deployment objectives through expanded high-speed sealift family

Article Abstract:

Austral has released the details of the world's first high-speed sealift trimaran for inter and intra-theatre lift missions. They are available in two versions, a Theatre Support Vessel (TSV) and a Multi Role Vessel (MRV), and will be used for rapid deployment of forces, vehicles and cargo at economical rates.
