Raytheon, Lockheed Martin team for CEC Block 2

Article Abstract:

Raytheon and Lockheed Martin have signed a partnership agreement to enter into the competition for the supply of the Block 2 version of the service's Co-Operative Engagement Capability (CEC) sensor networking system. The Block 2 iteration aims to improve CEC's capabilities by increasing the size of its sensor network, decreasing the size and cost of the system, adding new categories of users, optimizing bandwidth efficiency and extending CEC to the joint military community.

Spain selects S-80A combat system

Article Abstract:

Spain has selected Lockheed Martin Corporation as the partner of Navantia to develop the core combat system for the Spanish Navy's four new S-80s submarines. The selection of S-80A, along with the earlier supply of the Aegis Weapon System for the F-100 frigate programme, will provide the basis for Lockheed Martin and FABA Systems to meet the Spanish Navy's aspiration for a common open combat systems architecture known as SCOMBA (Sistemas de Combate de Buques de la Armade).
