EMPAE and Greek defense procurement: The 2006-2015 arms procurement programs

Article Abstract:

The new EMPAE (Unified Mid-Term Program and Modernization of the Armed Forces), which covers the ten-year timeframe of 2006-2015, is analyzed in the overall framework of Greek defense procurement. The Greek defense procurement is used as a main platform to achieve the goals like reducing dependency on foreign sources, expanding the role of the Greek defense forces as a technology developer and cooperating with other European countries towards a more competitive European defense industry.

Vendors in military business

Article Abstract:

The role of vendors in the military business in India is examined. The factors contributing to the vendor problem are analyzed and the urgency of taking steps to make transparent the procurement system in India so that vendors do not get an upper hand is emphasized.
