Remote command drives Ranger

Article Abstract:

Meggitt Defence Systems is conducting a developmental program related to the remotely-piloted land vehicle system having applications for target towing, namely for military operations in urban terrain (MOUT), which is concerned with training, battlefield logistics and operations in hazardous environments. The modular system called ranger is capable of fitting into any type of vehicle and can be used as a specialized reconnaissance in hazardous environments.

Spain: A broad capability

Article Abstract:

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Spain is a paradox in defense statistics where it is ranked fifteenth in the world in its level of military expenditure. Spain defence industrial capability includes a particularly comprehensive ship building capability, an aerospace industry, which includes full-airframe design, manufacture and export, powerplant design, and growing defense electronics and systems industries.

Singapore's defense industry builds on a tough-minded approach to procurement

Article Abstract:

Grouped within Singapore Technologies Engineering Group (ST Engg), Singapore's defense industries' tough-minded approach to procurement can be seen in the fighter procurement competition to choose between the F-15, Rafale and Typhoon. The future projects of ST and its influence along with geographical and manpower constraints on Singapore's industry are discussed.
