New rivals protect old guard

Article Abstract:

Vojislav Kostunica became the president of Yugoslavia, following a protest in October 2000, but, aside from the ouster of Slobodan Milosevic, little has changed in the Yugoslav government. This lack of change impedes needed reform.

Yugoslav revolution under threat

Article Abstract:

Yugoslavia's revolution ousted Slobodan Milosevic from office, and brought Vojislav Kostunica to the presidency. However, the new administration has made no effort to change the country's powerful and corrupt police force.
