Structure of the force

Article Abstract:

A short description on both the typical organization chain and USAF's Air and Space Expeditionary Force is presented to study the way the major commands and subordinate units of the Air Force are organized. The Department of Defense (DOD) is a Cabinet agency headed by the Secretary of Defense and was created in 1947 to consolidate pre-existing military agencies, the War Department and the Navy Department.

Critical time for air & space power

Article Abstract:

The Air Force Association (AFA) 2006 Statement Policy adopted by the delegates to the AFA National Convention meeting on 11 September 2005 in Washington, D.C., is presented. The Air Force modernization and recapitalization is urgently required to increase the air and space capabilities of the US military.
