Su-30 for the RMAF

Article Abstract:

Malaysia's purchase of a modified version of Sukhoi Su-30MKM fighter aircraft, which is based on the Indian Air Force's SuMKI-30 version, for Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), signifies an important jump in the operational capabilities of RMAF and the Malaysian military. The architecture of SuMKM-30 is mostly based on the elements of Russian and French origin along with some Indian components, as Malaysia has refused the use of Israeli-designed items.
