Syria uses UN seat to raise Arab concerns

Article Abstract:

The strategies adopted by Syria to pursue its own national agenda and making sure its position reflects Arab concerns by aiming to avert a war, are discussed. This is reflected in SyriaEs move of voting in support of UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution 1441, mandating the renewal of UN weapons inspections in Iraq and abstaining from voting on a resolution directing strictures on Iraqi import of potentially dual-use items.
