T.E. Lawrence: From Gettysburg to Arabia and beyond

Article Abstract:

James J. Schneider's article 'T.E. Lawrence and the mind of an insurgent' was appreciated and regarded to be a cogent contribution to the thinking about counter insurgency, an important issue in Iraq. The idea of wear and tear and friction within a military system, and the Arab's focus on wearing down their Turkish opponents was highlighted by Schneider's discussion of Lawrence's biological element of warfare.
