The importance of the Pakistan Navy for its country's security

Article Abstract:

Pakistan's Naval Chief of Staff Adm Fasih Bokari stressed, during an interview, that the primary mission of the Pakistan Navy is the seaward defense of the nation and its maritime interests, including the maintenance of open sea lines of communication. He noted that India's unrelenting efforts to increase its regional control prompted the adoption of an Indian nuclear policy that Pakistan has had to address to address the resulting imbalance of power.
