The complex combat aircraft market

Article Abstract:

The main challenge faced by combat aircraft manufacturers today is to land export orders. The presence of many players as US-based Lockheed Martin and Boeing, Europe's Dassault, Saab and British Aerospace, Russia and China vying for contracts arond the world is the primary obstacle to new aircraft sales. Other problems hampering the combat aircraft market include the availability of surplus aircraft and high costs of modern aircraft that push governments to opt for upgrades instead of new purchases.

Close-in anti-tank defence

Article Abstract:

Advances in close-in anti-tank infantry weaponry have always paralleled that of tank armor. For every improvement in the design of tanks and their armor protection, a similar advance in penetrating power is likewise achieved in anti-tank defenses. Present technological advances has resulted in the use of the M72, RPG-7 and Carl Gustaf for light armor, the Predator and the Eryx for heavily-armored tanks and the Javelin, the Gill and the Trigat-MR for long-distance armor threats.
