The future of the U.S. Army

Article Abstract:

The closeness that can be observed in the adherence of principles and practices that built the unmatched almost invincible forces that was sent to war in the Middle East from the years 1990 to 2005, will determine the future of the US Army. The pending Quadrennial Defense Review and the ongoing transformation of the Army are opportunities to establish the long-term force structure and resources required to guarantee continued excellence.

Challenges 2006

Article Abstract:

The challenges of the US Army in 2006 are described with reference to its plans to fight the war with same end strength and a reallocation of the same resources to a reorganized structure. One of the closely associated problems is the need to retain the noncommissioned officer and officer quality content of the force.
