The rush is on

Article Abstract:

Time-modulated, ultra-wideband (TM-UWB) pulse technology is so promising that it has attracted considerable interest from the armed forces. The realization of this technology's potential would lead to revolutionary products and systems for new warfighter aircraft. TM-UWB taps the virtually unused UWB portion of the signal domain and has already been used to develop new types of stealthy radio, 'see-through-walls' radar, highly accurate positioning systems, wireless security networks and asset tracking devices. However, the technology remains, in many respects, a solution in search of a problem.
