The US Army's Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - 2 Services (IETS-2S) program for the management of military information and data is all about a continuum of state-of-art enhancements for its net operations. The main objective of IETS-2S program, the different tasks and the challenges involved while completing the projects are discussed.

BFT lifts the fog of war

Article Abstract:

Blue Force Tracking (BFT) has enabled the rapid movement of forces across the battle space while reducing losses from the ever-present danger of fratricide by providing accurate plotting of friendly forces on a computer display during the Iraqi freedom operations. Details of the BFT and its importance in the United States Army are discussed.
