UK MoD aims for anti-submarine warfare superiority with integrated decision aid

Article Abstract:

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has funded the development of an Integrated Tactical Decision Aid (ITDA) for anti-submarine warfare (ASW), which improves all levels of ASW operations by exploiting the environmental information in performance assessment and decision-aid calculations. The ITDA, developed by TENET Defence in conjunction with QinetiQ, performs near real-time active and passive sonar assessment as well as command-level planning functions.
