The new point-and-shoot

Article Abstract:

The popularity of point-and-shoot (P&S) cameras compared to single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras shows the ease with which these can be used. There is a trend toward incorporation of features from both SLR and P&S in cameras. This indicates that consumers want the ease of use of a P&S along with the versatility of an SLR. Canon, Nikon, Samsung and Contax have introduced P&S cameras in the price range of $400 to $1,000.
