Why we need a strong army

Article Abstract:

The need of a stronger and modernized Army for the Americans is emphasized, as strategic flexibility in a difficult and unpredictable world requires a balanced defense force. The end of Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union has left the US defense establishment with no real peer or adversary, however, if the meager budget is maintained in future, the army will fall well short of the funds required for it to modernize itself.
