Zeus-Humvee laser ordnance neutralization system

Article Abstract:

The Zeus-Humvee laser ordnance neutralization system (HLONS), which was developed under the direction of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense command, is the first high-power laser weapon system to successfully engage and neutralize unexploded ordnance (UXO). Engaging the threats with laser activities is made much more affordable by Zeus, which provides the soldier with a much safer means of neutralizing a serious threat.

Humvee fleet update

Article Abstract:

The US Army's Humvee plans call for production continuation, modernization, and fleet recapitalizaton. The expected vehicle life is 15 years, and the recapitalization program will concentrate on vehicles that are 12-13 years old.

The family of medium tactical vehicle A1 models

Article Abstract:

Some 3,000 medium tactical vehicles, featuring the latest improvements, are in use by the US Army. The new features, including greater horsepower, antilock braking systems, and electronic engine controls, are discussed.
