Crossing over: the misunderstood world of cutoffs, slopes, and response shaping

Article Abstract:

A crossover is a circuit that divides incoming audio signals into different frequencies and sends them to an array of drivers. Crossovers can be active or passive. The problems involved in designing multiple-driver speakers to cover a wide range of frequencies are described.
