Article Abstract:

An overview of the features included in Pioneer's prototype DVD-Audio player is presented. This product raises the standard in the industry with improvements made in the audio fidelity taking a queue from the DVD-Video surround sound. Some notable features on this product include components sections such as analog audio and digital processing and analog power supply, along with graphical on-screen menu system and slow and fast scanning speeds.

Genesis Technologies digital lens anti-jitter device

Article Abstract:

The Genesis Technologies Digital Lens does improve the quality of digital sound systems, but the improvement is small and may not be worth the $1,800 price to most listeners. The digital lens eliminates almost all jitter from the sound and adds dithering that recreates a true sound experience.

The trouble with jitter

Article Abstract:

Jitter can be caused by flaws anywhere in the production chain: transports, data transmission, or analog-digital conversion. It is not a pressing issue in current CD player models, but could become a problem in new digital formats, or with higher sampling frequencies.
