Article Abstract:
The problem of nuclear waste disposal is examined. It must be remembered that radiation while dangerous, decays. Safety levels must be set to determine risk. Three categories of waste are defined: high-level, low-level, and intermediate level. Safety barriers considered include solidification, packaging, backfilling, and a stable geographical formation. A diagram, table, and graph are included.
