Article Abstract:

Magazines are using sex to sell their product. In the US in the late 1990s there is an openness about sexual mores, which allows magazines to use sexually explicit material. Yet, conversely, the explicitness of the sexual stories cheapens the emotions that come with intimacy.

Watching Cecil Sharp at work: a study of his records of sword dances using his field notebooks

The sword dances depicted in Cecil Sharp's field notebooks are described. He published dance movements as they were performed from the point of view of an observer and not a dancer.
