Noisy highways: noise barriers give essential protection to people who live near crowded roads - and a growing number of designers are showing that they needn't be eyesores

Article Abstract:

Sound walls near freeways have become a fact of life in the US, and help in preventing hearing problems and low quality of life to nearby residents. While some sound walls are stark and ugly, other use color, design and vegetation to be more aesthetic.

The Jerusalem syndrome: each year a number of travelers to Jerusalem become convinced that they themselves are the Messiah or the Virgin or King David or God or Satan

Article Abstract:

Occasionally a visitor to Jerusalem falls under the delusion of being a religious figure. Some of the people who exhibit this Jerusalem syndrome have no previous history of mental problems. They usually return to normal after leaving the city.
