A meta-analytic study of predictors for loneliness during adolescence

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to identify predictors for loneliness in adolescents using quantitative meta-analysis to determine the magnitude of the relationship between each predictor and loneliness. The results indicated that gender, depression, shyness and self-esteem had large effect sizes, while social support, social anxiety and parental expressiveness had large medium to medium effect sizes.

Qualitative evaluation of a school-based support group for adolescents with an addicted parent

Article Abstract:

The study aims to examine the features, critical attributes, processes, and benefits of school-based groups for adolescents with an addicted parent. It concluded that school-based support groups are beneficial to adolescents with addicted parents and their participation-enhanced self-knowledge, led to self-care, and self-healing.

The mediating and moderating roles of the cognitive triad on adolescent suicidal ideation

The relationship between depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation in school-aged adolescent is determined by the cognitive triad analysis. The mediating and moderating roles of cognitive triad are studied.
