Missing: last fall, Ann Marie Potton hiked up Whistler Mountain - and vanished without a trace

Article Abstract:

Ann Marie Potton was reported missing by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after a Thanksgiving weekend 1994 hiking trip in a mountainous region of British Columbia. Her parents, George and Maureen Potton, have since been involved in an emotionally taxing effort to locate their daughter.

A prophet's profits: the New Age has been good to James Redfield

Article Abstract:

Redfield's book 'The Celestine Prophecy' has been on the New York Times best-seller list for 116 weeks and has sold more than 5.8 million copies. His sequel and other assorted merchandise have also sold well. He is currently negotiating film rights, but is holding out for script control.

The female question: does a second-banana bias keep women from top anchor jobs

Women have had a difficult time landing the main anchor spot on national news shows, both in Canada and the US. The few who have served as anchors have often been dropped such as Barbara Walters and Ann Medina. Several female Canadian journalists give their opinions on the subject.
