12,000 B.C. forest workers go on strike

Federal Way, Wash.-based Weyerhaeuser Co. and 69 other wood products companies are facing a strike by 12,000 forestry workers in British Columbia. The workers are represented by the Industrial Wood and Allied Workers of Canada labor union.

Canfor, IWA cautiously optimistic

Article Abstract:

Vancouver, BC-based Canfor Corp. may be close to a contract agreement with its 1,700 striking forestry workers. The striking workers are represented by the Industrial Wood and Allied Workers of Canada labor union.
