Ad agency asks Indigo to pull 'similar' ads

Article Abstract:

Toronto, Ont.-based Indigo Books Music and More Inc. has been asked by Toronto, Ont.-based Wishart Advertising and Graphic Design Inc. to withdraw a new ad campaign. Wishart claims that the ads, which were created by Toronto, Ont.-based Vickers and Benson Advertising Ltd., are similar to ads created by their own ad agency.

The Canadian Hearing Society, which is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has criticized a new ad campaign by Chapters Online Inc. The advertisements, which have run in the National Post newspaper, include a phrase that says, "Music prices so good they're a bargain even if you're deaf."
