An HIV self-care symptom management intervention for African American mothers

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of an HIV self-care symptom management intervention for emotional distress and perception of health among low-income African American Mothers with HIV is determined. It was concluded that HIV symptom management intervention has potential as a case management or clinical intervention model for use by public health nurses visiting the home to see HIV-infected women in primary care or specialty clinics.

Development of behaviors in preterm infants: relation to sleeping and walking

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to examine the development of eight infant behaviors over the preterm period and to determine the relation of these behaviors to sleeping and waking and to infant characteristics and illness severity. The results reflected that all behaviors showed state-related differences in frequency.

Black and white men at risk for memory impairment

Article Abstract:

Epidemiological data has proved that morbidity and mortality rate are higher in African Americans rather than in white Americans in the United States. It also shows that though there was no difference in the actual memory performance, the subjective aspects of memory evaluation were still different.
