Article Abstract:

The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) has closed or seized 40 banks under orders of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to clean-up the banking system that has caused Asia's financial crisis. IBRA is also pursuing former President Suharto's children, arguing Indonesia should have began this operation at the start of the crisis. Despite these developments, many in the West criticize IMF's reforms for further worsening the situation.

The Baath party members who are the supporters of Saddam Hussein are banding together to form secret parties like Al Awda and April 28 are offering resistance to the American troops and gaining support in Iraq.
