Battling on many fronts: crises rock Montreal Mayor Pierre Bourque's government

Article Abstract:

Bourque denies charges made by his former chauffeur that he laundered campaign funds during the 1994 election. He also is dealing with the disintegration of his Vision Montreal party, after five councillors quit in Jan 1997. Other crises include snow removal and economic problems.

The Lacava touch: a Montrealer changes the way newspapers look

Lacava, 38, is one of Canada's preeminent graphic designers. She specializes in redesigning newspapers and has worked on over two dozen including the award-winning 'Le Devoir.' Lacava is currently working on The Vancouver Sun, and is hoping to expand internationally soon.
