Beyond the call

Article Abstract:

Call centers are offering new employment opportunities to workers in Australia, and different regions of the country are vying for the title of call center capital. Telephone workers at call centers provide customer service for various industries, such as banking, telecommunications, and fast food delivery. Critics insist the jobs are not new, but only outsourced, and the working environment is stressful.
