Bidders expected to eyeball Philip assets

Article Abstract:

Metal Management Inc. of Chicago, IL, is considering the acquisition of certain assets of the metals division of Philip Services Corp., noted Metal Management spokesman Xavier Hermosillo. Metal Management is presently one of the biggest steel and copper recycling and processing firms in the US. Hermosillo admitted that Philip Services may have certain good companies which it had earlier acquired and which may be complementary to Metal Management's operations. Analysts believe that other firms such as Triple M Metal, Co-Steel Inc., and David J. Joseph Co. may offer to buy the properties.
