Black says he'll be cleared: Hollinger's lofty windfall up in smoke

Article Abstract:

Conrad Black sold most of Hollinger International Inc.'s Canadian newspapers to CanWest Global Communications Corp. for more than $3-billion in November 2000. Hollinger International is weaker than ever in 2003 with $575-million (U.S) in debt and its share price lower is lower despite a 55% rise in 2003 and a 16% increase since Lord Black announced his retirement as chief executive in November 2003.
