Brando Quilici, an Italian documentary maker has had a variety of hair-raising experiences, whether it was living under a volcano in Ecuador, camping along side polar bears on an Arctic ice floe or driving through a Saharan sandstorm. He has shot a series of films on champions of sports beginning with his first film at the age of 20 on a mountaineer, followed by a skier, swimmer, an around the world sailor and his greatest fulfillment was when he was able to film Tutankhamun, a mummy of Egypt's boy-king, for National Geographic.
