Canadian homebuilders are upgrading their customer services practices and offering buyers more choices regarding materials and colors in response to a tighter market for new housing. The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp has published the results of a study on homebuyers' preferences.

Picking a baby's sex

Sex-preselection clinics have operated in Canada since 1988. Prospective parents have about a 70% chance of having the desired-sex baby. Present reproductive technology cannot determine features such as hair color and intelligence.
