CHUM rises on heavy volume

Article Abstract:

The Canadian media industry has been typified by stock price volatility as the share value of Toronto, Ont.-based CHUM Ltd. rose sharply. Other media companies, including Toronto, Ont.-based Torstar Corp. and Corus Entertainment Inc., saw their stock price rise while Winnipeg, Man.-based CanWest Global Communications Corp. reported a drop in its stock value.
